The tour lasts approximately 3 hours 30 minutes, including visits to five venues where you’ll hear their stories, take part in activities and have time for a drink.

About this Experience

Join Leeds-born beer expert Mike for a fully self-researched, three-and-a-half hour guided tour exploring over 300 years of the city’s rich pub and brewing heritage, with a half pint included at every stop.

Beginning at The Tetley and visiting iconic pubs including the Adelphi, Lamb & Flag, White Swan and Whitelock’s Ale House, you’ll uncover the stories, architecture and characters that shaped Leeds’ drinking culture.

Along the way, enjoy heritage video clips, old maps and newspapers, a fun map-reading challenge, and a walk past the city’s fascinating “ghost pubs.”

Led by the serving Secretary of the British Guild of Beer Writers, this immersive experience brings Leeds’ brewing history vividly to life while keeping you refreshed throughout.
