Drawing and Painting

Paul will introduce and guide you through a number of drawing and painting techniques. You will explore a range of drawing and painting media, using specialist brushes, mark-making tools, pencils and papers etc. You will gain confidence throughout the workshop, and create 2 – 3 beautiful artworks that you can take home with you at the end of the day.

Lino Cutting and Printing

Paul will introduce and guide you through a range of relief lino cutting and printing techniques.  Working from a selection of prepared designs, you will learn how to transfer an image onto lino and identify positive and negative areas. You will develop key carving techniques to create negative (white) and positive (dark) areas. You will also learn how to ink your block and print your design using high-quality Cranfield Caligo inks. At the end of the day you will have a number of beautiful linocut prints that you can take home with you.
